My Story
Born a Desert Rat, I grew up in Phoenix Arizona. I was a crazy kid who loved Animals, and spending time having fun. I spent countless hours riding bikes in the neighborhood, and playing in the wash near my house. I was placed in honors classes in elementary school, started singing in choir, and learned to play the Saxaphone. I worked hard with my eye on the prize of becoming a vet some day. high school continued this trend with marching band, concert band, and International Baccalaureate. Teachers through out high school told me I would never make it. If anything, it only made me try harder.
I made it into College at Colorado State University where I majored in Biology and minored in Biomedical Sciences. This is where the Idea for my story first popped into my head and i started sketching to help with stress. After graduating I wanted to take some time off, and enjoy life a bit. who could blame me, living in a state as beautiful as Colorado. Sadly, Tings there didn’t pan out. after eight wonderful years i headed back home to work for my parents helping foster kids. I styarted working out regularly with the help of a friend, and all the change in ym life encouraged me to finally start my book.
Now I live at home with my Dog, and continuing to better my self every day, with the excitement on my mind that I can bring joy to peoples lives even if they’ve never met me.
Family is Everything
My Parents and Sisters
I love these crazy people. we stick together through thick and thin and are the best of friends. They have supported me through this amazing journey. Their hearts are as big as their smiles.
Lunette
My 5 Year old Pit-bull mix. I named her Lunette because the literal translation is small moon and she is my light in the darkness. If I can take her with me some where I do. she loves everyone she meets, and can put a smile on anyone’s face. you’d never guess when I rescued her she was starving, and sick.
Shelob
My pet Tarantula. yes I named her after the spider from Lord of the Rings. I let my Geek flag fly high. she helps live up my office, and provides a great opportunity for the foster kids and visitors to learn something, and maybe have a new experience holding her.
We know there are species that can survive the cold emptiness of space. We have studied animals and microorganisms thriving around thermal vents at the bottom of the ocean and bacteria living amongst the clouds. Yet for all our efforts only one planet has been found to support the complexities of life.
